Off-Campus Stores, Dining, and Other Services
Now that you’re at UCI, you’ve experienced Irvine's mediterranean climate and you know it’s a great place to live and play. But where to go first?
Located in the heart of Orange County, UCI enjoys the best of what southern California has to offer; beaches, mountains, deserts, with a variety of entertainment, shopping, and restaurants all within easy reach. Irvine is considered one of the safest cities in the nation compared to other communities of similar size, largely due to the careful planning which guides the city’s development. With over 150,000 residents, the amenities within the city abound. Students can find many of the services they require within walking or biking distance of UCI at:
- University Center, located across Campus Drive from the UCI Campus and Administration Building, is a local dining, shopping and entertainment venue, within walking distance for UCI students. Services include a drycleaner, photodeveloper, movie theater, a variety of dining options, and much more.
- Campus Plaza, across Campus Drive from the Verano Place Apartments, and also walking distance from UCI, includes daily use services such as a grocery store, a drycleaner, and a bank. In addition, it also has a variety of dining locations from which to choose.
