Please consult with the faculty graduate advisor for your department to verify that you have satisfied all course requirements for your program. Detailed information on specific degree requirements can be found in the UCI General Catalogue, and, for most programs, on individual department websites. Students are responsible for fulfilling requirements in effect the year in which they are admitted. For more information about curricular requirements for students in Doctoral programs, please visit the Irvine Senate Manual.
Also, please check with the faculty graduate advisor for your department to determine if your graduate program has a language or alternate skill requirement. Such requirements, if part of the graduate program, may be completed any time prior to completion of all other degree requirements unless specified otherwise by the program. The Office of Graduate Studies should be advised in writing of the type of test taken and the date passed. If an alternate skill requirement approved by the Graduate Council in lieu of a foreign language is satisfied, this should also be indicated in writing.
