7. What documents do you need to submit for your Master’s Degree: Plan I, Thesis Option?

If you are a Master's student and are receiving your degree through Plan I, you need to complete and submit several forms to University Archives (525, Langson Library). Some required forms are available from the Office of Graduate Studies website, and some from University Archives.

Required Forms (OGS)

Dissertation/Thesis Approval Form
As the title suggests, the Dissertation/Thesis Approval form is used by University Archives to indicate that they have accepted your manuscript.

Graduate Student Diploma and Commencement Form
The information you enter on the Diploma and Commencement form is used for your entry in the commencement program and for completion of your diploma.

Optional Forms (OGS)

Degree Certification Request Form
The Degree Certification Request form is used to request an official letter from UCI's Graduate Dean certifying that you have completed all of your degree requirements.

Required Forms and Documents (University Archives)

To view a complete list of the documents you need to submit to University Archives (Room 525 Langson Library) see the Master's Thesis Submission Checklist.

For more information about how to complete your thesis (including formatting requirements), please visit the University Archives website, and "Where can you find information/help to write your thesis/dissertation?" on this website.
