Readmission of Former UCI Graduate Students

A former UCI graduate student is an individual who previoiusly was admitted to a graduate degree program at UCI, was enrolled in classes for that program in the past, but dropped out for a period of time before earning a degree.
Former Graduate Students Without Academic Standing:
Former UCI graduate students, without current academic standing, must reapply for admission in order to continue their education as a graduate student. A graduate student loses their academic standing if they fail to register for classes in one or more quarters.

Graduate Students Within the Past 2 Years:
If you were enrolled as a graduate student at UCI within the past two years, you need only to submit a newly completed application form, including an updated statement of purpose and transcripts covering any academic work since your last enrollment at UCI. Other, previously submitted documents are on file.

Applying to a Different Degree Program:
If you are applying to a graduate program other than the one you were previously enrolled in, then you must submit a new application and submit all supporting documentation.

Application Fee:
The application for readmission must be accompanied by a check for $60 (for U.S. Citizens and lawful U.S. Permanent Residents) or $80 (for all other applicants) made out to "UC Regents".
