Each student that enters UC Irvine is assigned a unique
UCInetID which becomes their entry through the gateway of UCI's various electronic services and resources. However, UCInetIDs must be manually activated by you, the student. UCInetIDs are used to identify and authorize you, as a UCI student. These services and resources include, to mention a few, a free e-mail account along with access to other convenient web services such as your
Zot Account Online,
WebReg to register for classes, electronic voting and personal server space for academic related projects.
Most new students entering UCI in the Fall quarter will be able to activate their UCInetID
beginning July 3. To
activate your UCInetID you will have to know your 8-digit Student Identification Number (which you should have received in your letter of admission*), your date of birth and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number (SSN). (International students who may not yet have a Social Security Number may leave the SSN field blank but should review special
requirements for foreign students.) Please note that the Office of Graduate Studies must have previously received your completed
SIR, and you must have completed and submitted your
SLR before UCI's systems will allow you to activate your UCInetID.
