Many academic units make teaching assistantships available to outstanding graduate students. In these appointments, students serve as teaching assistants, teaching associates, readers, or tutors. Appointments are for a maximum of half-time service (20 hours/week) and require registration as a full-time student. The duration and extent of such appointments vary by academic unit.
How to Apply:
Assistantship offers are made to students by the academic unit making the award following formal admission to graduate study.
English Requirements:
International students wishing to serve as a teaching assistant, who are citizens of a country where English is neither the primary nor dominant language, must either pass the Test of Spoken English with a minimum score of 50 or otherwise demonstrate their oral English proficiency. A full discussion of oral English proficiency requrements is available
