1 Interdepartmental Neuroscience is a one-year gateway program. After the first year, students join the graduate program of their chosen research advisor. Participating departments are: Anatomy & Neurobiology; Cognitive Sciences; Developmental & Cell Biology; Neurobiology & Behavior; and Pharmacology. For more information, visit the INP website at: http://www.inp.uci.edu

2 Molecular Biology, Genetics, & Biochemistry (MBGB) is a one-year gateway program leading to enrollment in one of several doctoral programs in the schools of Biological Sciences (see data above) and Medicine (see data here). As such, there are no direct graduates of MBGB. More information about the MBGB program is available at: http://www.bio.uci.edu/academic/grad/mbgb.html

3 Individuals do not apply directly to this program. Rather, they apply to the gateway Molecular Biology, Genetics, & Biochemistry (MBGB) program. After approximately one year in the MBGB program, students transfer to this or one of the other destination programs in the School of Biological Sciences or the School of Medicine. Click on the MBGB link above for admissions information. More information about the MBGB program itself is available at: http://www.bio.uci.edu/academic/grad/mbgb.html
